Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Pandora is an internet music service created by the Music Genome Project and designed to incorporate a music recommendation feature that works with 400 music attributes to play songs or artists similar to those that the user chooses. The system incorporates feedback as users approve or disapprove of selections to build a growing portfolio of music types to play from. The Pandora media player plays through a browser and works with Slim Device and Sonos products. Users can also download a mobile version for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Pandora offers both a free subscription and a paid subscription without ads. Listeners can also download Pandora hacks that allow them to display the radio information in different ways or integrate the service with other applications.

On May 20, 2009, Pandora announced a premium subscription service, Pandora One, that for $36 a year gives the subscriber ad-free playback of music, access to an Adobe AIR-based Pandora Desktop App, and high-quality 192kbps streaming audio.
