Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Google Docs is an online document application that allows you to make basic documents, a combination of word processor, spreadsheet maker, and presentation creator. You can form documents from scratch or through one of Google's templates, upload existing files for editing, and email documents to the application. With Google Docs you can also collaborate with others in real time, inviting people to view and change documents with a chat window option for discussing spreadsheets or presentations. The application accepts DOC, XLS, ODT, ODS, RTF, CSV, and PPT file formats, among others. A version of Google Docs is available for download onto cell phones so you can view documents via mobile browsers. You must have a Google account to use Docs.
