Fancast is cable provider Comcast's answer to online video portal Hulu. The site offers full-length episodes of many popular television shows, TV listings, and tie-in services for purchasing movie tickets through Comcast-owned Fandango.

Special features that set the video portal apart include personalized recommendations and a database of information with details on shows, actors, cast and crew, etc.

Comcast recently announced the Fancast portal will provide on demand access to a cable subscriber's entire standard and premium video content library through a password-protected service. The new video service is expected to launch by the end of 2009.
