LaCie's 5-bay RAID NAS Solution for business data has a design to match its high-performance tech specs. It comes in three models that offer 7.5TB, 5TB, and 2.5TB of storage respectively. The company says all three models are available in either 5 or 6-bay configuration, and that they run almost 40% quieter than comparable drive while using a quarter less energy. If that amount of storage is insufficient, though, it has a high-speed USB 2.0 AND 3 eSATA ports to add additional hard drives.
The LaCie 5big also supports the following RAID modes: RAID 5, RAID 5+Spare, RAID 6, RAID 10 and RAID 0. This solution is compabitble with Windows, Mac and Linux systems, and will retail for $899, $1,399 or $1,899 depending on the storage space optioned.
