Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Eye-Fi Share is a 2 GB SD card that wirelessly transfers your photos to an associated computer over your Wi-Fi network. Initial setup of the card defines the specific network and default transfer folder. With a range of 90 feet outdoors and 45 feet indoors, the Share will automatically move the photos once it's within range of the network, provided the PC is turned on.

Furthermore, the Share can upload photos to Flickr, Picasa, Shutterfly, and other photo sharing websites. You can do this with Eye-Fi's WebShare application. The Share's Smart Boost technology sends photos directly over the network without the need for a powered-on computer. The Eye-Fi Share derives power from the digital camera it's in, obviating the need for an external power source.
