Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

On July 29, 2009, Eye-Fi, Inc. announced immediate availability of the Eye-Fi Geo, a new GPS-savvy 2GB SD card in its Eye-Fi line of wireless SD cards. The Eye-Fi Geo is being released exclusively via Apple retail stores and Apple.com for $59.99. When used in a digital camera, the Eye-Fi Geo tags any shots taken with the relevant GPS data of where the shot was taken (a process known as geotagging), and allows for images to be automatically uploaded from the camera to a computer via WiFi. Users can also pay $9.99 a year to allow for posting directly from the Eye-Fi Geo to online photo sharing and social networking sites whenever the camera is within range of an active WiFi network.
