The Eye-Fi Explore is a 2 GB SD card that wirelessly transfers your photos to an associated computer over your Wi-Fi network. Initial setup of the card defines the specific network and default transfer folder. With a range of 90 feet outdoors and 45 feet indoors, the Explore will automatically move the photos once it's within range of the network, provided the PC is turned on.
Furthermore, the Explore can upload photos to Flickr, Picasa, Shutterfly, and other photo sharing websites. You can do this with Eye-Fi's WebShare application. The Explore's Smart Boost technology sends photos directly over the network without the need for a powered-on computer. Finally, using the Skyhook Wi-Fi service, the Explore automatically geotags each photo. The Eye-Fi Explore derives power from the digital camera it's in, thus obviating the need for an external power source.
