Rhapsody is a digital music service that lets you listen to their music wherever you are. Rather than charge per individual track like iTunes and Amazon the service instead charges a monthly membership fee that gives users the right to listen to music wherever they are. A $12.99 membership gives you unlimited plays of Rhapsody's tracks, web access to your music so you can listen from any computer, and the ability to create playlists and share them with your friends. A slightly more expensive $14.99 plan allows you to also put music on your non-iPod MP3 player and take it with you, although neither plan allows you to burn CDs. The site allows you to purchase individual songs outside of (or instead of) your monthly membership fee. Purchased tracks can be burned to CD or put on the music playing device of your choosing.
