OpenOffice.org provides a free software suite designed to provide a more simple alternative to productivity suites such as Microsoft Works, giving you a word processor called Writer, a spreadsheet application called Calc, a presentation constructor called Impress, and a database manager called Base. You can download the suite for Linux, Mac, Windows, and Solaris operating systems, and it comes with an automatic file-locking system that prevents complications from cross uses with multiple operating systems. The software is available in multiple languages.
