Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Jibbigo is an iPhone app that uses voice recognition and voice synthesis to translate from English to Spanish and vice versa.

You just speak into it and it recognizes what you said with relative accuracy; it displays the text of what it thought you said, and you can correct it using the iPhone's onscreen keyboard if it made a mistake. Then a computerized voice speaks the translation through the iPhone (or iPod touch) speakers.

The app is available in the App Store now for $24.99. Word is that its performance is very slow if you don't have an iPhone 3GS.
