Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

IBM Lotus Symphony is a free application suite for creating text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, available in its latest version for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. The software, which is available for download at the Lotus Website, can work with Microsoft Office, Lotus SmartSuite, and OpenDocument file formats. It supports an online community that offers help and template plug-ins and has native language compatibility for over 23 languages. Developers can add to the existing applications with the available plug-ins and use the editing function of Lotus Notes to create composite applications. The latest version of Symphony, 1.2, was released in November 2008.
