Google Calendar is an online calendar application that replicates many of the features of desktop calendar applications, including reminder alerts, email based calendar invites and differing views of upcoming projects. Google Calendar was one of the first online calendaring applications to use the AJAX concept to replicate a similar look and feel of desktop applications. Instead of needing to constantly refresh the calendar every time a change was added or deleted, Google Calendar instead updates incrementally, preventing a new page from loading based on every user action. Google Calendar syncs automatically with the T-Mobile G1 and other Android handsets, and can be configured to sync with desktop clients.
