Google Android 2.0 overhauled the previous version's maps, browser, e-mail, user interface, and other features. It added built-in Exchange and Facebook support. It was a significant upgrade.
For example, maps received a "Layers" feature that lets you put live information like search queries on top of your locations, and you can to upload YouTube videos in just two steps. 2.0 also adds an application that performs phone functions based on voice commands.

Android 2.0 debuted on the Motorola Droid, but on December 14th, 2009 Sprint announced that 2.0 will also be available on the Samsung Moment and the HTC Hero.
UPDATE 12/18/2009: It turns out the Moment and Hero will actually get Android 2.1, not 2.0. 2.1 mostly makes bug fixes, but it adds a few UI improvements as well.
