This updated version of the BeejiveIM app for iPhone supports the push notifications introduced in iPhone OS 3.0. It was the second IM app to have that feature. After you exit the app, and when you receive messages, Beejive sends you push notifications about them.

Beejive supports the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), MSN/Windows Live, Yahoo!, Google Talk/Jabber, ICQ, Facebook, and MySpace chat networks. It even lets you send and receive files like images, documents, and voice notes over those networks.

This app also lets you send SMS text messages to the numbers in your iPhone's contact list (using AIM's network), partly bypassing AT&T's own messaging system.

BeejiveIM 3.0 is available now on the App Store for $9.99. No free version or trial is offered.
