Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) is the next major update to the Mac operating system, following Mac OS 10.5 Leopard arriving on August 28th, 2009.

In this new version, Microsoft Exchange 2007 support will be built into Mail, Address Book, and iCal. In addition, Snow Leopard will extend the 64-bit technology in Mac OS X to support high amounts of RAM — up to a whopping 16 terabytes.

Other features will include QuickTime X, which offers expanded codec support and more efficient media playback, and OpenCL (Open Computing Language), which will allow developers to use your Mac's graphics processor for tasks previously reserved only for the CPU. Interface videos and other feature reveals can be seen at Mac magazine and on YouTube.

At the WWDC 2009, Apple announced that Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will launch in September for a $29 upgrade for current 10.5 owners and $169 for the full version. But on August 20th, 2009, Apple's online store page for Snow Leopard was updated to say that the OS will ship on August 28th. On August 24th, 2009, Apple updated its homepage with a graphic confirming a release date of the 28th for Snow Leopard.
