Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Apple Final Cut Studio 2 was released in April of 2007 as a new edition of the world's most popular professional video editing software suite. It includes the applications Final Cut Pro 2, Soundtrack Pro 2, Motion 3, DVD Studio Pro 4, Color, Compressor 3, LiveType 2, Cinema Tools 3, and Qmaster 2, along with a number of smaller tools and plugins.

The suite is only compatible with Apple computers, but most systems used in the film and video production industries are Macs. Its flagship components are arguably Final Cut Pro 6, a non-linear editing program used to cut video projects; Motion 3, a visual effects and titling production app; and Soundtrack Pro 2, a program used to create and edit musical scores for motion pictures.

Final Cut Studio is compatible with all standard and high definition video standards, and works well with videos transferred directly from film. It's been used to edit a significant number of major motion pictures, including The Ring, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Letters from Iwo Jima, and Cold Mountain.

Its suggested retail price is $1,299 — far too expensive for amateurs — but a stripped-down version called Final Cut Express is available for $199.
