ViewSonic's PJD6381 may not attract a lot of attention with its arcane branding, but it's actually somewhat exceptional. It's a 3D projector (yep, like the movie theaters), and those aren't all that common in homes yet. This particular model places special emphasis on features for educators, with support for a number of whiteboard options used by school districts.
It also makes a name for itself with a short throw ratio (.68). Other specs include a standard 1024 x 768 resolution, a 2,500:1 contrast ratio, and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Both NVIDIA's gamer-centric 3D Vision technology and the more general-use DLP Link tech from Texas Instruments are supported for that 3D experience. Look for this on the shelves come August with a suggested retail price of $1,249.
