Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Canon's imagePROGRAF iPF6200 is a wide-format ink jet printer, capable of printing sheets two feet wide. The 6200 reproduces color using twelve ink tanks connected to a pair of print heads. The print control system uses EFI's Colorproof eXpress software to rasterize images on the computer and send its commands to each ink channel independently. The software runs an Adobe Postscript engine for interpreting industry standards, supporting rasterizing major graphic formats, such as JPEG and TIFF. An integrated 80GB hard drive stores past print jobs for quick reprints, and can be accessed directly via web interface.

Besides printing on large individual sheets, the 6200 supports borderless printing on rolls of paper for banner creation, including pre-scored paper. For Photoshop users, Canon includes a plugin to manage print job workflow directly from the editing program. Another plugin for the Microsoft Office suite is designed to simplify the manner in which those programs handle large-format print jobs. The printer makes use of Canon's LUCIA pigment-based inks, which independent tests rate at being resistant to fading for nearly a hundred years when used on good-quality paper.
