Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

SanDisk's Sansa slotMusic player is a budget-priced audio player designed to work with slotMusic purchases, microSD cards loaded with a commercial album. The twenty-dollar device lacks a screen and features only the most basic controls for media playback - track controls and volume. Powered by a single AAA battery, the slotMusic player has no internal memory and thus no USB port - files must be loaded directly to a microSD card before placing it in the device. It supports an impressive array of music formats, including MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, and non-DRM WMA.

The slotMusic albums cost fifteen dollars apiece and are encoded in MP3 at 320kBps, with extras like album art stored on the card too, and come with a mini USB adaptor. The player supports skinning with a removable faceplate; pre-skinned models are available in bundles with certain slotMusic albums.
