Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

On October 19th, 2009, Plastic Logic announced that it's previously teased and rumored Plastic Logic Reader would be officially announced on January 7th at CES 2010 as the QUE Reader along with pricing, availability and full specifications for the device. Plastic Logic is taking aim at business professionals with the PR campaign accompanying the announcement, noting that the QUE "is an essential tool for busy professionals." The QUE will support PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents.

The QUE features a touch screen E-Ink Vizplex "shatterproof" plastic display and according to Plastic Logic will be the size of an 8.5 x 11 inch pad of paper, measuring less than 1/3rd of an inch thick. The device will be able to connect to a special QUE Store, powered by Barnes & Noble, to wirelessly purchase and download books either over WiFi or over AT&T's 3G network.
