Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Cowon's D2-16BL is a personal media player with 2.5-inch touchscreen and 16GB flash memory, expandable through SD cards. The device has strong audio format support, including MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and lossless FLAC and APE files. Although the 16BL supports video playback, files must be formatted for the device's QVGA 320 x 240 screen with included conversion software. Cowon claims the device allows for 52 hours of music or 10 hours of video playback on a single charge, and tests report real-world times very close to those numbers.

An integrated microphone supports recording voice memos, the player's FM tuner can record directly to memory, and line-in, a rare feature on media players, allows recording from external sources. A Flash player application is capable of loading SWF files, though Cowon suggests that users tailor-make them for the device, as display and input options are limited. The included stylus doubles as a stand for the player when watching video files, or they can be displayed on a full-sized TV using the included video-out cable.
