Apple's iPod Classic, introduced as a revamped version of the original iPod when Apple launched the iPod touch on September 5, 2007 and updated as the 7th generation of the iPod a year later on September 9, 2008, is a flash memory-based portable media player capable of playing music, photos, video, and Apple iPod video games. Additionally, the iPod Classic supports Apple's Genius playlist feature, which suggests playlists based on similarities between the different songs on the iPod. The iPod Classic comes in either silver or black with 120GBs worth of storage, capable of holding up to 30,000 songs, 25,000 photos, or 150 hours of video at a price of $249. Apple claims that a fully-charged iPod Classic can run for 36 hours playing music or for six hours playing video. The iPod Classic features a 2.5-inch color LCD with 320x240 pixel resolution.
