The iPad has landed.

Sharp hardware design and a lot of class define this media dock from Sony. The table-top NAS-Z200iR speaker system connects to media devices via USB, audio-in, your home network, or an iPod/iPhone dock, and plays media from those sources. It also supports internet radio and has an AM/FM tuner.

The stand-out feature is the wireless remote, which features a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen that lets you browse all your media. That media is played through dual 20-watt speakers — not earthshaking, but good enough for most rooms in your home. The other good news is that it's DLNA-compliant, so most if not all DLNA media streaming devices should play nice with it.

It's due in Europe this September, but unfortunately it will cost €699 (about $989). Yikes. Sexy design and fancy interfaces aren't cheap, eh?
