The Griffin PowerBlock Reserve is an AC charger designed to charge USB enabled handheld devices, especially iPods and iPhones. It comes with an extra battery pack that you can charge along with the device and attach to your iPod or iPhone when it is full, providing extra time if your internal battery is dying. This battery pack is interchangeable with the car-charging PowerJolt version of the device, but you should not that you will not be able to use headphones when the reserve battery pack is attached, so while it may be helpful in continuing phone calls you won't be able to listen to music.
