Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Announced at CES 2009, the ooma Telo is a VoIP system offering free calls over the internet throughout the U.S. The Telo system includes a base station that can be used to access ooma's voicemail system and a handset phone featuring high definition DECT 6.0 voice connections, call transfers to mobile devices, and room to expand up to six separate handsets. The phone has caller ID, multiple ringtones, and contacts that can be managed via a computer.  International calls can be placed for free with other ooma users or can be made at reduced ooma rates. ooma also offers a subscription service, ooma Premiere for $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year, that includes special premium features such as an instant second line, three-way conferencing, and enhanced voicemail. Users will need a broadband Internet connection to use the ooma Telo. Prices start at $250, which includes free calls throughout the U.S. for the life of the device, but there is no word yet on availability.
