The ooma Hub is a device that allows users to make unlimited national calls free of charge. Rather than a monthly fee for service, all expenses are paid upon purchase of the Hub, which connects with both a standard phone line and an Internet-dedicated line to offer the service using VoIP. Features include the standard caller-ID, call-waiting, and voicemail, as well as landline-comparable quality, the ability to access voicemail from any phone, and voicemail notifications sent to email and cell phone. Users can choose a new phone number or keep their existing number.

ooma also offers a paid, Premier service ($12.99/month or $99.99/year), which includes features such as a second line that allows two users to talk simultaneously to two separate callers, three-way conferencing, and call forwarding to another number. Premier users also have access to voicemail features like message screening, transferring a call to voicemail, voicemail forwarding, and the option for calls to go directly to voicemail without the unit's ringer sounding. The ooma Hub measures 6 inches deep by 7.5 inches wide by 2.2 inches tall, and weighs 1.2 pounds.
