Speak-er is a set of powered speakers in the shape of two black, rectangular speech bubbles from New York-based design team "the." Each six-watt speaker has a single two-inch driver with a 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 60-20 kHz frequency response. Speak-er is being produced in a limited run of 1,000 in 2009, and can be pre-ordered now for $120. Given the less than outstanding specs, that money pays mostly for aesthetics, and Speak-er is undeniably a conversation piece - no pun intended.
