The Star Trek USB Communicator isn't going to win any points for quality or practicality, but hey, it plays classic Star Trek TV series sounds!
It's modeled after the communicators used by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the original series of Star Trek (the one from the 60s with Kirk and Spock). Interest in this sort of thing piqued again with the announcement and release of the 2009 J.J. Abrams-directed reboot of the franchise.
The communicator connects to the internet and allows you to chat with friends via Skype, AIM, and other VoIP protocols, but unfortunately it doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi, so you'll have to connect it to a computer via USB to use it.
Check out a video of the communicator in action behind the product details tab.
