The Apple Remote is a straightforward device: you can use it to control your IR-equipped Mac or a docked iPhone or iPod. It has back, forward, play, pause, menu, and navigation buttons. That's about all there is to say about it, except that the latest refresh — which is available for pre-order now and will be shipping sometime in November — adopts the silver-and-black, aluminum look used by most of the Mac computers now.
