ESPN is in talks with Microsoft to distribute sports content through the company's Xbox Live service. Negotiations have been taking place behind closed doors, but tipsters have suggested that, if an agreement is reached, ESPN will provide live streaming video of sporting events to Live subscribers. The content available would be similar to that accessible on ESPN's 360 website (the naming similarities seem too perfect). It's not yet apparent if ESPN's fees would be absorbed by Microsoft and the content would be available to all Live Gold members, or if the per-user fee ESPN wants will have to be ponied up individually by each subscriber.

Maybe this will help Xbox pull ahead of Sony and Nintendo, which also have deals with Netflix now, in terms of attractive content.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have this on my xbox.

Take it from me who is an enormous college sports fan. I watch every single college football game I can with my 3 TV's in the living room.

However, my PC does not allow me to get ESPN360.... So hooking up the xbox on to one of my tv's and streaming games from there would be PERFECT.

PLEASE get this deal done.

However, I can garuntee I wont want to pay more on top of the 50 bucks I already pay for Live services. If ESPN is asking for more $$$, then you dont have a buyer in even the most loyal college football fan.
