Google and Bing are now both offering real-time searches of Twitter updates. Bing will also search Facebook statuses in the near future.

Amazon UK has announced that Windows 7 has beaten the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the most pre-ordered product to date. The only product that has sold more copies over the past three months is Dan Brown's latest book.

Google plans to team up with the iLike and LaLa music services to offer a music search service that sources say will be called Google Audio.
