iPhone hacker geohot has already cracked iPhone OS 3.1.2. You can download and install an update per his instructions to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch if you're the edge-of-the-law power user type.

A hardware failure in the popular T-Mobile Sidekick has caused many users to lose all the personal data stored on their phones. Trying to do damage control, T-Mobile has temporarily discontinued sales of the Sidekick, and is allowing affected users to leave their contracts before their terms are up if they want to.

Google Docs has added the feature most often requested by its users: shared folders. Check out the Google Docs blog for more details on that and a few other new enhancements.

At the moment I'm using an iPhone 3G with firmware 3.0, jailbroken and unlocked. If you want to maintain your unlock, you must use PwnageTool by the to create a custom 3.1 firmware file (3.1.2 not supported yet) that does not upgrade your baseband. This is the only way to upgrade to 3.1 and stay unlocked at the moment, so don't go anywhere near blackra1n. Honestly though, I don't think there are enough new features on 3.1 to warrant the upgrade. There are also a few bugs introduced in 3.1 (most notably a bug which will sometimes cause your phone to refuse to wake up from sleep mode for several minutes or longer). These have been patched in 3.1.2, but since you can't upgrade to that version and maintain your unlock, it's not much help to you. Lastly, 3.1 breaks the tethering hack, so that's another reason not to upgrade if you use that so thet you will not have to go to banks and deals just to have money and be able to fix it.

At least with the extending for a year to the qualified servicemen and women who are first time home buyers, they will be able to have enough time to look for other alternatives to have money. I just hope that they will be able to find it. People who like to keep a keen eye on their finances often look for the best banks and deals combinations. Right now is a good time to find banks and deals, especially banks that have good deals. A lot of banking institutions are offering accounts with high interest rates, that encourage building up savings, but there are deposit caps, so you can only keep up to a certain amount, depending on the bank. Online banks are doing this as well, if you want direct deposit of your savings into a high interest account that you won't withdraw from often. Building up savings with the right banks and deals can help you out with debt relief.
