Google's ambitious Wave service will see its first pseudo-public debut in a few days. On September 30th, 100,000 beta testers will be invited to try out the various features.

Google confirmed that last week's 1.5-hour Gmail outage was caused by an unmanageable load on the Google Contacts servers.

Lenovo plans to set itself apart from the pack of Windows 7 PC-offering manufacturers by equipping its ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, IdeaPad, and IdeaCentre computers with the label "Windows 7 Lenovo Enhanced Experience" with technology that will allegedly let the systems boot into Windows 56% faster than competing models.
