Intel announced today that it is launching laptop versions of its top-end, quad-core Core i7 processors. Two laptops that will ship with Core i7 have already been announced: Dell's Alienware m15x and Toshiba's Qosmio X500.
The Korean Communications Commission pulled a 180 and took steps to allow Apple to sell the iPhone in the country, which is one of the most lucrative mobile device markets in the world. It had previously kept Apple and Research in Motion (which is responsible for BlackBerry smartphones) out to protect Korean manufacturers.
Pre Central reports that Palm has received so many applications from developers seeking to get approval for Palm Pre apps that it is having trouble keeping up. Developers are frustrated at the resulting delays, but it's a good sign for Palm's webOS mobile platform.
