Google Sync for iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile does push Gmail

One of the biggest drawbacks of Gmail has been that many mobile platforms don't support push notifications form the service. For example, Apple never built Gmail push into the iPhone (though it was possible via MobileMe), so folks ended up using third party apps like GPush.
Google has just addressed the problem on iPhone, Windows Mobile, and Symbian handsets by using Google Sync as a workaround though. After enabling Google Sync, you can set up your e-mail on your phone as a Microsoft Exchange account and voila — push notifications. Check out the Google blog for details.
