Google has introduced a plugin for the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser called Google Chrome Frame that adds open source features and HTML5 support to IE. The spin is that it lets you basically run Chrome (or at least many of its features) inside Microsoft's ubiquitous but oft-berated browser.

Yahoo! updated its search result page with some new features, including a sidebar that helps you filter what you're seeing.

UK internet service provider BT said that internet piracy policing mandates that the government is considering giving to ISPs could add an additional cost of £24 per phone bill to the customer. Tough to say whether or not it's a valid figure, because the company is understandably trying to stir unrest to fight the bill that would hurt its profit margins.
