Most of Google's great features started out in Google Labs, but we're not sure this one is much more than a gimmick; Google Fast Flip presents news stories from around the web in a visual flip style that reads somewhat like a print magazine or newspaper. Large thumbnails of stories on participating sites are displayed, and can be narrowed down by topic, popularity, and of course search terms. It's supposed to be so fast you hardly notice a delay when new thumbnails load, but it's not quite there. But check it out now and judge for yourself.
