Sources told AppleInsider that the upcoming September 9th Apple event will bring with it a new iPod lineup. Apple hasn't made any official announcements about the event at all, but multiple insiders have named the day as a red letter one.

MediaMall's PlayOn — software that allows you to watch online video from sites like Hulu on gaming consoles and other living room devices with internet connections — has arrived on Nintendo's Wii console. You'll have to pay $39.99 to use it in the long run even though it's a beta test version, but you can take advantage of a 14-day free trial.

Officials have slammed BitTorrent website Mininova with an ultimatum: it must remove all links to torrents that violate copyright law or face a $15,000 fine per link. Mininova hasn't said how it plans to deal with the situation yet, but an appeal could be in the works.
