Microsoft is offering a Release Candidate (RC) version of Windows 7 that is almost up-to-date with the retail version of the operating system, and which is also free. It will continue operating until March of next year. If you're interested in trying the OS out, you'd better act quickly; today is the last day that you can download it. Head to Microsoft's download page to start the download before the end of the day.
