Microsoft and Nokia announced a new partnership today. The partnership will bring "Microsoft Office Mobile and Microsoft business communications, collaboration and device management software to Nokia’s Symbian devices." Presumably this applies only to future phones, not current ones, but it's unclear.
Facebook has begun beta testing a new feature called Facebook Lite. Select users were invited to try the features out, though many of the invites were in error. It looks be a FriendFeed or Twitter-like feed with many of the more elaborate Facebook features stripped out for brevity, as it were. TechCrunch has a number of screenshots for you to inspect if you're curious. The FriendFeed comparison is interesting because Facebook just purchased FriendFeed.
Google offers a service called iGoogle that adds a bunch of personalized gadgets beneath the search field when you navigate to Google's website. There's a wide variety of gadgets available, from news tickers to weather reports, but Google just announced the addition of 19 new gadgets, all with a social and sharing focus. Check out the YouTube video below for the lowdown.
