The Boy Genius Report has received multiple tips about and screengrabs of a digital memo announcing that Canadian wireless provider Rogers is shipping an 8 GB model of the iPhone 3GS, presumably to replace the $99 iPhone 3G which is likely to be phased out eventually. This looks legit, but you can't be sure.
Google has released a new beta version of its Chrome web browser. The update supposedly increases browsing speed by 30%. It also allows you to customize what appears on your New Tabs page, and it applies some improvements to the Omnibox expanded address bar.
Testers have discovered a fatal NTFS driver stack bug in Microsoft Windows 7 RTM 7600.16385 that can cause the system to spiral into oblivion. The bug causes a serious memory leak when you run the important system application chkdsk.exe with certain perameters. Blogger Randall. C. Kennedy expresses concern that a bug this critical could delay the operating system's launch.
