United States only 33rd when it comes to broadband speeds

Internet hosting experts Akamai just published a study comparing the broadband internet connection speeds of various countries and states. It found that Delaware is the fastest internet state, but that the United States is a measly 33rd in the world in number of connections above 2 Mbps — behind Slovakia, as DSLreports points out. Ouch, guys.
