Google has released a FAQ clarifying some information about its recently announced Chrome operating system. It confirms that Chrome OS will be free, and lists the launch partners who have signed on to support Chrome so far. They include Acer, Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Toshiba. Several important PC manufacturers are absent, but it's a start.
