After spending well over a year being the moral arbiters of all content made available in its App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch, Apple has allowed its first application featuring unclad female breasts into the App Store. Hottest Girls runs $1.99 (direct link to iTunes), requires the purchaser to be at least 17 years old to "download this game," and is developed by Allen Leung, who recently told Macenstein: "We uploaded nude topless pics today. This is the first app to have nudity."

Of course, these are just still images of nude women, something that is freely and readily available to any internet-connected device with a working web browser and that includes Mobile Safari on the iPhone and iPod touch. Spend your $1.99 on this app if you want, but during a recession, it would probably be better to go the free route and embrace the simple truth that the internet is for porn (see embedded video explanation of this truth below).

UPDATE: According to TechCrunch the app has been pulled (although it is still listed as available). You have to actually try to purchase it to get the error TechCrunch writes about, though, and we're not wasting our hard-earned $1.99 on what may just be a temporary glitch in the App Store.

SECOND UPDATE: The app wasn't pulled. It was temporarily sold out. Details over at TechCrunch who have been following this story as if it were Watergate.
