Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button director David Fincher is in advanced talks with Columbia Pictures to direct The Social Network, a film based on the true story of the founding of Facebook. The screenplay is based on the book The Accidental Billionaires and was written by Aaron Sorkin, the screenwriter known for The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The American President, and Charlie Wilson's War.
