Apple's iPhone 3G S officially goes on sale today and all pre-orders from Apple are supposed to be delivered sometime today (I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my 16 GB White iPhone 3G S; are you awaiting yours? Let us know when you get it in the comments below), and there's lots of live-blogging and video of the lines at various Apple retail stores.

While everyone is waiting on their new iPhone 3G S, the folks at Rapid Repair have already ripped theirs to shreds. One of the more interesting details revealed in their rather thorough disassembly guide to the iPhone 3G S is "this phone is capable of 833MHz and 720p video. This may be a gateway HD media product in the near future." Could Apple be planning a future HD-recording firmware update to the iPhone 3G S? We sure hope so.

We should have our hands on an iPhone 3G S later today (FedEx willing), so if you have any questions about the device that you haven't seen covered in all the other reviews you've already obsessively read online, please let us know in the comments below, and we'll make sure we answer them all in our review.
