Prominent UK ISP Virgin Media just revealed plans to partner up with major music label UMG (Universal Music Group) to provide its customers multi-tiered, subscription-based music streaming and download service. At the same time though, and presumably as part of the deal, it has pledged to crack down on illegal file sharing. Customers who are repeat offenders could have their internet service temporarily suspended.
