Reports have started popping up that the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models introduced last week only have 1.5 GB/sec SATA hard drive interfaces, while the old models could do 3.0 GB/sec. For most users, this is irrelevant, because generally all but the most cutting edge solid state drives can't even keep up with the 1.5 GB/sec speed, but the news nevertheless has some folks up in arms.
