The one millionth word in the English language is "web 2.0"

Some are calling it more of a PR stunt than anything, but The Global Language Monitor has given the honor of the 1 millionth word in the English language to the arguably less-of-a-word-and-more-of-a-term, "web 2.0." But then, it's sort of 5 years late anyway, consider the term was coined back then to refer to the "next-generation" of web-based services most of which have now outgrown that term and are hunting for the next catchphrase to describe the "omg new shiny goodness" that the current real-time web trend will bring us. John Battelle and Tim O'Reilly propose that term be "web squared" which, if it catches on, we should see turn up as an official member of the English language right on schedule in 2014.
