The existing 3.6 Mbps network will get a boost to the full 7.2 Mbps HSPA standard speed, which many think has been iPhone-inspired and possibly a sign of continued exclusivity. The infrastructure upgrade is itself a precursor to the subsequent rollout of 4G using the LTE standard.
